Question about Wheel Backspacing

Hello everyone!!
I have a 1997 4Runner 2WD V6 with factory 16" alloy wheels. I understand that the BS on the factory wheels is about 4". I will be installing after market wheels, Blackrock 942 Type D steel wheels 15X8 with 3.75" of BS. How is having a BS of 3.75" will affect on how the wheels fit my truck? I will be installing 33x12.5x15 tires. My truck has a Toytech 3" lift. Thanks!

Will increase the track width and perhaps increase the likelyhood of tire rubbing:

I have pretty much the exact same setup on my 02 4Runner. I have a 3" Revtek lift and I am running 33X12.5's on 15X8 steelies with 3.75" BS. The wheels fit just fine on my truck, I didn't have any issues with them clearing the upper A-arm or the brakes. The 33X12.5's did rub though so be prepared to do some hammering and trimming to make them fit. The only difference that I see is that your truck came stock with 16" alloys and mine came stock with 15" alloys. I'm not sure if that will cause problems when trying to clear the brakes, so you should try to test fit the wheels if at all possible but they should have no problem clearing the upper A-arm.

On a side note, if you decide to go with the 33X12.5's be prepared to have a lot more mud, water, road grime, and other debris on your truck pretty much all the time...The 33X12.5's are slightly wider than the body so they sling a lot more crap onto the body than the stock tires and the stock mudflaps don't provide much help either.
