problems starting up

Hey everybody,
I have an 86 4runner with the 22re and i've been having problems starting my truck. It happens usually after long drives where i would try to start it again, but it won't even turn. The strange thing is it starts just fine in the morning and after short drives. It sounds like the battery is dead but the battery is new, and so is the starter. I don't know much about cars, but there's also a wire from the ground of the starter that leads into the cab and thats where i hear the relay kicking. i'm not to sure if that's the problem or not but i've tried searching but i have no idea where to start.

Please I need assistance! Thank you

try searching for starting issues on here, you will find alot of useful information pertaining to starters doing this. most likely the main pwr wire to the starter is corroded, or your starter relay has a loose connection. this symptom can also be caused by the clutch start cancel switch (m/t) or park sensor (auto, not sure i called it the right thing). a worn out contact inside the solenoid can also be the cause, if thats the case you can easily fix the starter. (this may still be the case even if it is new, alot of "rebuilt" starters still have the original worn contacts in them)
