Power to the Dist?

Power to the Dist?

Should there be voltage going to the the dist. when the key is in the on postion on a 93 3.0, I have searched the for info on past threads & post but no luck, Any info would help, Thanks

No the ECM won't tell the ignitor to send current to the ignition coil until it senses rotation from the pickup coil in the dist. http://personal.utulsa.edu/~nathan-b.../9systemci.pdf The positive terminal on the ignition coil should have battery voltage with key on. http://personal.utulsa.edu/~nathan-b...12onvehicl.pdf

Also the Coil, Dist, AFM Injecters and TPS all use the same B+, There all spliced together with fuseble links.
