one mor ruf ??????

i am getting 2 stock leaf packs and 2 stock front leaf packs for my 83 and was wondering a few things like can i lift my truck with all the leaf springs i have, that's 8 packs all to gather and all stock and do i have to move any hangers i do not have the right welder to do so. any advice will help and instruction.i have looked and looked and not found what i was trying to do exactly thanks for looking.

ok i have looked and looked and i still cant find exsactly what i am asking and that is do i have to move my hangers and if so is thare a way around it.and can i buld 4 out of 8 stock springs,step by step i have looked and reserched for a long time now and evary one is talking about diffrent springs and a bunch of fab work wich i do not have the right equpment,right know.

You can see I initially ran with stock hangers. I did later drop them and move them farther forward to work better.

You can build whatever spring pack you want with whatever leaves you have. You can see exactly what I did and exactly how much lift I got. You can get whatever lift you want by adding or subtracting leaves until you get that. That is what I did and when I got the lift I was looking for, I stopped.

You don't say if you have stock steering or not, but that will be the biggest limit if you do. Why? Look at the clearance of the steering and the front springs and look at what happens when you move the axle 2" forward with the offset rear springs.

ok i see what you are talking about. what if i take 4 sets of front leaf packs and just add leafs to them so my axle wont move forwarded do you know if this will work.and yes i have stock steering.

It may work, but for the steering, measure the clearance over the springs to the steering parts.
