On my 86 Toyota truck..started up this morning and no dash lights.Headlights ,turn signals,flashers,radio lights all work,but no light over the speedometer panel.Fuse,bulb,wire??? what's the fix and estimated time to do it?..thanks.

 

read you hyanes mannual on how to pull the speedo cluster

there should be 2 bulbs that are in there that are burn out.. should be under 6 bucks at any parts store..

all the bulbs in the cluster are the same so you can pretty much pull one out and try a in different location

 

Yeah 90 yota,the fellow that fixed up this truck changed the speedometer itself so maybe he shorted something out?

 

oh, well check to see.. if a fuse is burnt out.. first then it will be a dead give away if you got a bigger problem then a just a burn out bulb...

by the way bulbs will burn out more often if they get more amprage then they need..

 

Which fuse and what amp is it?There are two boxes,one in the engine compartment,other drivers side kick panel under the door.Also does that fuse also do the cabin courtesy light?

 

well your dome light is connected to your door buzzer switch,, will make nosie if your door is open..

pull your dash and just check so see if you just burnt a buld it should take no longer than a hour, taking it all apart...

your bulbs, can be bought at any parts store..
