How do I contact Corey? I just registered today and read his bio.

I new today and would like to contact Corey. According to his bio, he works at Boeing and "hopes to retire" someday.

I retired from Boeing four years ago after 35 years as a flighline lead mechanic at the CDC (Commercial Delivery Center) at Boeing Field. His bio also says he likes to hike Mt. Rainier. His bio could apply to me totally with one exception; I AM retired.

Still, it sounds like he and I have quite a bit in common and I'd just like the opportunity to contact him. If whomever happens to read this, might I ask a favor and request you forward this message to him? I just registered today and don't know my way around yet. Any help anyone may offer will be very much appreaited.

My thanks to you (Whoever you are.)

Doing a lot of reading on the on board air systems as well as a zuk mode.

Im guessing....the oba is like what the hummers use..tires go flat and your able to reinflate on the fly or while driving?

A zuk mode....just..jeep springs in the back for a better ride and a slightly bigger lift?

I'm on 31s.

Will be doing the timing chain soon as well as a new passenger side shock.

Will also be adding an inverter tomorrow or Wednesday.

I have an issue i think.

My shocks up front are gone. they are crappy rough country's and one is bent and one top hat is blown out. I can not find any of the nitro 9000s in the whole stater of colorado. so...im getting new shocks.

Problem is.....I called roughcountry, got the specs for the shock, 20.5" fully extended and 13.5 compressed. p/n 9335 is the old one, new p/n is 20105.

Anyway...I'm looking for new shocks. I'd like to go kyb since RC is crap but can't find anything thats even close to my size. ALL i'm finding are some 13" extended and 10" collapsed.

Any help?

I have 4.10 gears. What's the easiest way to go to 4.88?

Thus truck will see the mountains. Still doing research on a good highway/city/mountain/forest access trails gear.

On 31s and its suggested to run 4.88.

Just read through your thread. As far as gears go go find a Toyota 8" for the rear and a 7.5" for the front. Are you sure you want 4:88's. Are you running a 31" or a 33" tire. Maybe 4:56's 31's.? Just a suggestion. I was way over geared when I had my 85 Toyota I was geared for 35's w/5:29's, but only ran 33's so while I had a good crawl speed for a stock t-case it totally killed my highway fuel performance because I was spinning 3k + in 5th at 60mph. This was with a 22re & W56. So I know it's not the same but unless it is a purpose wheeler I would caution against over gearing. I know a runner is different than a pick up as far as weight and performance but I figured I would put my experience out there also.

Keep up the Good Work

Thanks for the input. Yes,I'm running 31*10.5. Will be going up to 33*12.5/16 once the funds gather. I was think 4.88 on 33s. I want a good all purpose gear. Will only be doing city driving and light highway.

Right now my rpm is maybe 2.5k at 70.

I got "my" gearing from the vin tag. I have an 8" rear also.

I'm looking into getting a full engine rebuild in the near future so maybe that will help my gas milage. Well, either a full rebuild or a 22re or 3.4 swap. Still debating.

For the swap even though I am a 22re guy if you swap do the 3.4 swap. You will not regret it the 22re is a great motor and very easy to work on. If thats why your considering it then by all means do it but 116 hp will be the draw back to that swap. Go with the 3.4 and that way it's still an easy swap and you get a lot of extra power and mileage similar to your 3 ltr. Win win just my opinion.

Edit: as far as suspension info goes if you look in the stickies for the 86-95 trucks there is a sticky just for 4runners

The 22re bulletproof ness is the main reason. I could always build the 22 for more power. At least enough to get in the hills Lol.

I hill around in rolinsville if anyone knows where that is. Its by Nederland.

I would like to add a gas tank to the roof. Maybe 2-3" thick but the size of the roof. Gravity feed hose. Then put a safari style rack above it.

Snorkle

Not gonna regear any time soon.

Very seriously looking at a rear locker. Detroit. Parts and labor $750.

You would die in a fiery roll over. Lets rethink that one.

I've actually drawn some stuff out for it. Lol.

Ideal would be an extra 30gallons.
