new to 4x4in

im new to this 4x4in thing and its fun but i kinda like the look of those smitty bilt tube bumpers and was woundering how good they are and were i can purchase one?

As far as I know smittybilt was bought out and they dont make bumpers for ou trucks anyone. You can buyone used though..

That is one option, but there is usually a fair bit of work needed to build up a stock solid front axle truck, depending on your wheeling needs:

But if you can find an '85 w/ 22RE engine in good shape, grab it.

Too bad your in California, I've got a smittybuilt double tube bumper for sale. As far as SAS goes it's a lot of work. I was going to SAS my 87 truck but I decided to sell it and get an 85 4runner instead.

I live in siskiyou county and the place is packed with tons of places to go. from mud to simple trail to stuff i wouldn't do with out a winch and a roll cage and an ambulance near by.

hollister hills is your best bet. ranges from easy slow trails, to hardcore tank traps.
