So I'm not a newbie, but I've never run into this problem with California emissions not being from California. With the whole emissions set up in the truck can you just cut the belt off the smog pump and will the truck still run okay?

It's function is to pump fresh air into the exhaust, it's just an air pump, the newer models use what is essentially a venturi pump.

Yeah you can disable it but we are all wondering why you would want to.. Why you trying to pollute more, stop killing our polar bears

Your emissions computer is going to register rich with out the extra air which is going to effect your mileage probably more than the pump uses.
