Need help with finding headers and full exhaust system

Need help with finding headers and full exhaust system for a 91 4runner v6 4x4. Also, for those who have upgraded, is there a big difference from stock?

You can do headers and 2 1/2 exhaust on a 3.slow.. the difference will be small unfortunately ;( the 3.slow is well.. slow

Downey makes a stainless setup
http://www.downeyoff-road.com/Engine...stSystems.html
Headers
http://www.downeyoff-road.com/Engine...stHeaders.html

Doug Thorley also makes a header and exhaust for the 3.slow
They can be found all over the place summitracing.com ect.

http://store.summitracing.com/egnsea...115+4294839556

Most will say just put the $$ you were going to put into the 3.slow into a savings account, run er till she explodes then put in a 3.4 but not all of us have that option sometimes. Hope this info helps

I really would not suggest anything larger than 2.25" on the 3.0.

Too little back pressure can result in major power loss. 2.25" is a happy medium.

ISR mod, normal tuneup stuff, adjust the timing ect a well running 3.0 Isn't horrible but it definitely isn't fast by any means Search is your friend, the 3.0 power issue gets covered here at least twice a week what size of tires and gears are you running?

Ok, little help now. The plans are to tuneup this weekend. What are the brands and parts to look for and get. I don't really trust the guy behind the parts counter that says "this is what the computer says you need to get".

yea I know that feeling sometimes..
For tuneup parts on the 3.slow the best place is Toyota, Cap / rotor / wires / plugs. They can be found online as well and there are several dealers here on YT in the vendors section that will sell you parts at a discount. Denso/NGK are the only brands to use in my opinion. Just don't use cheap autozone or napa parts you will kick yourself later when your replacing them again in 3 months.

There are several guys that can give you the exact Toyota part numbers as well I'm sure they'll chime in soon.

If you for some reason need a part at Napa and the parts guys cannot find it PM me and I will look it up for you.

Excuse my newbie’ness, but is Bosch any good. NGK and Denso plugs and wires are easy to find. Cap and rotor, Bosch comes up allot when seaching online.

No problem I have had horrible experiences with running Bosh anything on a Toyota.. They just don't work well together for me.

sparkplugs.com is a good spot for plugs and wires (denso/ngk) Stick with the standard plugs or maybe the NGK Irridums (im running those currently in the runner they are running quite well so far)
For the cap and rotor I would just go directly to toyota or PM or call/email one of the dealers here on YT and they can give you an estimate with shipping to your door

http://www.trdparts4u.com/ Fourm name: trdparts4u.com
They run tuneup deals quite often just ask em
Jacque or Gerone
info@trdparts4u.com

www.northridgetoyotaparts.com / he does not monitor YT thread but will respond to email's and phone calls
(818)735-5600 ext 240 ask for Carrie or Rafa
Or e-mail us at Carriec@northridgetoyota.com

There are others but I cant think of them at the moment
Remember to say you are a YotaTech member and you saw them on the website for the discount

Or your local dealer of course can order the parts as well if your near a Toyota Dealership they arent very expensive parts either way.

Ok, today sucks because my dude was gonna tune up my 4runner while I was at work. He called and told me the head gasket need to be replaced cause it was leaking alittle. Ok, cool, replace it...whatever. I get a call later and my dude called telling me that he decided to put the truck on the lift. He found oil all over the underbody. Oil pan and main gasket and if it has a gasket, its leaking. There are not major leaks but a leak is a leak. Short term fix is engine honey. Money got real tight so major work is out, what to do????????????
