Hey Yotatech fans I have a 4x4 96, Toyota tacoma and I planning on installing a suspension lift on it along with larger tires. What I would like to get is a 3 - 4 inch lift with about $800 to spend on it. Never played around with lift kits before, any sugestions on with brand and kit to go with?

a small 2.5" Coilover lift in the front..2" springs in the rear..then a 2in body lift..


after that you'll be close to $1000 i bet...

95.5 and later trucks get EXPENSIVE when it comes to offroad mods..LOL..

an ACTUAL 4in bracket lift for your truck will be WELL over $1000 for SURE

they all cost more than you are looking to spend but they are very good kits.

 

More than 2.5" of front suspension lift is pushing it for the angle of your CV axles. Even with a 2-2.5" front lift, you should put in a $20 diff drop (very easy to do yourself in 15-30 minutes). And don't be surprised if your stock CVs still don't last long with the sudden angle change. New CVs usually do just fine though.

Do what Camo31 said, get 2.5" coilovers in front and 2" springs in back and a 1 or 2" body lift (if it's necessary).

 

Also look at Toytec.com. They have some of the best prices.
