moving axle forward on '86 SAS'd 4runner

i have the 6" all pro leaf spring up front.
i just recently took the 3" body lift off (thank God) but now my 37's rub badly on the inner fenders/wheel well.
I've cut and chopped and slammed them back more and more but it's looking like if i take it back any farther they're just going to hit the body mounts

i was wondering if its possible to turn the leaf springs around..?
from eye to center pin on the front is 25 1/2
from eye to center pin on the rear is 22 1/2

so if i turn them (if it's possible) it'll push the axle forward 3"

any input please? thanks!

You might have your springs on backwards like you said. It appears that the military wrapped spring is in the back. Do you have a pic of the front of the springs & the spring hanger? You shouldn't be rubbing that bad with a 6" spring & some firewall trimming on 37's. I'm running 39.5"s, a 4" spring and tubbed firewall and don't come close to rubbing.

Yep, springs on backwards. The 22.5" length should be up front:

Flip the springs around and check. You should be fine.

You might also consider tubbing the firewall.

This is how to do the clearance like wabbit did. My buddy runs 37 boggers with a set of tired 5" allpro springs he pushed the front hanger forward to get the clearance had to move PS box forward. Don't know about the lift spring backwards thing.
