Looks like someone's attempt to add an additional ground wire.

That's what I was thinking as that looks like a dual grounding block.

When I first got it, drove for about 10 min before the check engine light came on (code 11 I believe which I asked in another thread).

That got me on the hunt for possible grounding issues loose wires etc.

Just got back from a healthy drive with no CEL, yay.

Idling rough when i got back, about 500 and below, maybe fuel filter (though drives great), or maybe a slight adjustment needed.

In any case, thanks for the response, that block looked stock so I figured I'd ask.

If anybody else has any suggestions/ideas, feel free to still reply.

Maybe I should have said replacement instead of additional grounding wire. What do you have for grounding wires?

The one that pops into my head is the battery grounding wire to the firewall, I didn't pay attention to what didn't look "out of place" to me.

I hate to say it but to me it looks like a circuit breaker.

There is no telling just what it might have been for.

Extra lights??

Do you have anything not working??

Thats the weird thing, everything appears to be working fine, other then the low idle after it warms up, but I don't think thats related.

Could have been extra lights at one point, but there is no mounting points for ones.

Just by the look of the insulator, made me question it. It started pouring down yesterday, but I plan on going back out and see if I can find a spot where it looks like it could go.

My main question would be if anybody else has that type of block in their engine compartment. Googling doesn't prove to be that helpful.

No that was added at sometime .

If it was Toyota it would be the type to plug into a female connector and be part of the harness.
