m8000 portable winch anchor

i haven gotten a bumper made for the front of my truck yet but could really really use my winch around the yard (pulling bushes out and winching a chevy without motor/trans up my driveway) . i see warn makes portable winch anchors but are the compatible with the m8000 winches? anyone made some homemade anchor the mount it to trees ar anything. Ive thought about temperary bolting it the the floor of my bed but really wouldnt want to rip the winch bolts thru my bed.

Like this. That was my thought too. This one is almost as much as a bumper tho.

Seems most common winches have a pretty similar mounting bolt pattern. You can look up or measure what yours has and then compare it with the mount you are looking at. If it lists 1 or more compatible winches, look up the bolt pattern for that and compare to yours.

I once made a winch cradle for a Ramsey 8000 winch:

Just make a base plate for the winch, weld to some receiver tube make a surrounding cage. I made that for a buddy who wanted something he could keep in the back of his FJ60 and not worry about it getting tossed around. He had bumpers w/ receivers front and rear made.
