You won't find an '88 Tacoma, first year of Tacoma was 95.5. Look online for 88 pick up
There is also a sticky at the top of this folder forr used parts.

How did you lose a big piece of steel?

Especially a bull bar... if it fell off while driving, you'd run it over and screw all sorts of stuff up

Haha yeah it wasn't attached just in the bed. I borrowed it cause I needed a truck to move yard trash and I used the bull bar to weigh down the branches and stuff. When I was at the dump I took off the bull bar then unloaded the trash but forgot to put it back in the bed and drove off without it. When I remembered and came back they had already buried it. It's an 88 pickup, thought it was a Tacoma but its just a small 4 by 4 pickup truck.

If you find ok one it needs to be for an 86-88 truck or 86-89 4runner
84-85 had a different suspension and therefore more than likely the lower mounts will be different.
When I think bull bar I thing ARB bumper. I am thinking it was a grill guard you left.

If it were an ARB, I would be tearing that dump apart.... No way would I leave it there for scrap. If its a minor brush guard, possibly a different story, but I'd still spend a good while digging and moving stuff in the approximate area I had dumped. But that's just me.... and I'm forced to be cheap that way due to legal binding contracts... Yes, I'm married....

Haha yeah that sucks man. So I found out its a 1988 SR5. I don't mind buying new as long as the fitment and quality were excellent. Do you guys know of a good brand that makes them?

Are you sure that one will fit a sr5? The pic is of one on an f150, which is obviously much larger.

ARB and TJM are nice bull bars. Spendy though... About $1000.00 is what I paid for my ARB for my '84. Shipping is kinda high...

Well what did the wife get from that little purchase ??

Since you lost your friends Bull bar maybe they should tell you what they want!!!

Instead of you just picking one at random.

Yeah I'm obviously going to run it by him first before I buy anything. Thanks for the advice though dad.

Anyhow I'm think you guys are right about it being a grill gaurd not a bull bar though. Anytime companies out there for grill guards?
