Locker Question

I've looked and searched, but couldn't find. I decided I want to permalock my diffy, since this will be the cheapest, easiest way for me.

I saw a guy post a thread about his locker. It's the only time I've seen this. He has a little + looking thing that he placed inside the diffy. I just can't find his thread anywhere.

So if anyone knows what I'm talking about, please help me out. I'd apreciate it. Also, would it be a bad thing to have my DD permalocked?

Thanks.

Yeah you'll go through tires faster, but if you keep them rotated you won't notice it as much.

IVe had friends run welded rears as a DD. If you dont drive far to work or drive much at all for that matter probably won't get to you after awhile. I find fully spooled/welded on-road to be annoying as hell after not a long time LoL

I have a Aussie and i can say after driving around doing errands, parking lots, sharp SLOW corners by the end of the day you're wishing you could just hit that button and disengage it.

Spooled rears make for some really loud tire squeels at the pump! YEAABAABBYY

sounds like you are talking about a lockright or aussie? lunchbox locker. basicaly slides in the carrier of your diff and replaces the spider gears with this rachet box and it locks the diff under load from the pionion and unlocks the outer tire when turning. now i dont have a locker so i dont know everything but i can tell you that a spool is going to get annoying lol. like so many have posted above me, its going to wear out your new nice tires and be a bish in tight parking lots. just go with an aussie and you will most likely be a happy camper just my opinion
