Knuckle bearing?

I recently rebuilt my front axle. I was driving off a curb and heard a small pop come from the passenger side. I pu it up on jackstands and grabbed the top and bottom of the tire and tried to move it. The tire moved about 1/4" back at the top. Are the knuckle bearings bad or is there something else I may have done wrong?

If only the tire/wheel moves than its wheel bearings not properly adjusted. If you look behing the tire/wheel and can see the knuckle moving then, yes it sounds like you did something wrong. You are going to have to take it down again. Don't drive it this way.
