knock in engine

Well I was out mudding and ended up getting water in the intake. Ive flushed the engine and now there is a knock in the engine. Sounds like a lifter or maybe a valve. Did a compression test and cylinders 1 and 6 came up low.

Oh and its a 91 pickup, 3.0, 4wd, 5spd, and so on.

any ideas? thanks

Yeah--rebuild the motor--Or swap in a 3.4.

Your con rods are probably bent and who knows what else...

Alright, well i bought a short block 3.0 and while i was tearing down the old one i found that half of my thermostat was missing. Turns out somehow it busted off and i found what was left of it in a few of my cylinders. Now i thought this was rather interesting haha, anyone heard of this happening?
