just confirming an answer i found... 93 4WD PU
I have searched through the boards for this topic, so i just want to get a quick confirmation on what i have figured out...
I have a stock '93 22re 4WD pickup and i was thinking about putting a 3" body lift on it... i was wondering what the biggest tire size i could fit would be afterwards.. it looks to me like i would be able to fit 35x12.50's with minimal rubbing. is this correct? - Thanks - Walkdog.

Just make sure you get some wheels with minimal backspacing and I think you will be probably be okay. If you intend to wheel you might want to bang out those pinch seams. Any reason you have decided to go with such a large body lift and no suspension lift?

my 35x10.50's rubbed a lil when out wheelin, but never on the street.
im guessing he went with a body lift because, there cheap, keep a better cog, easier to install etc... and as a bonus, its also easier to work on your truck if it has a BL.

Haha maybe a little...I don't honestly wheel my trucks nearly as much as I should (since all my rigs are Daily Drivers), but when I lift, I do prefer to go suspension for the extra flex and ride characteristics. Nothing wrong with body lift though...especially on budget builds.

i have 35x12.50 on 3.75 back spaced rims with just a little rubbing so it works well. i only have a 3" body lift and some longer shackles in the rear stock up front and i still need to install my ball joint spacers
hopefully that is your confermation

$cost$ is the main issue... to be totally honest, here in North Florida, all i see is an occasional mud bog and a couple of woodsy trails... however, i just like trucks, and big tires, and mud, and i haven't really spent any money on my stock truck yet, and i figure a body lift with a couple of gap guards wouldn't be too big a waste of money... i guess you could call me a mall crawler or a parking lot destroyer or whatever, but i just like big tires! Thanks for the replies guys! I don't think a BL would look too bad with my 31's anyways
btw TOYOTA 1, your truck is sooo flexy, i like it... maybe mine could do that someday!

Ah yea if mudding is your thing body lift and put some nice mud tires on, should be good to go! Where I live in central Texas, we only really get rain 3 months or so out of the year, so if I'm going to wheel my rig it has to be on rocky trails where suspension lift and extra flex helps out. We get mud every now and then but I like to stay out of it as much as possible.
