define interference. Kinda vague, hard to tell ya what's really going on. are the pistons flat on the top or are they domed?

The pistons seem to contact the head when cranked by hand. Pretty sure I pulled a newbie move an put a late model head on a old block!!!! Is there a head that I can put on this block so that I can run my EFI???? I would HATE to hafta get another motor! Mebbe a bigger hammer??? All help an advice is appreciated!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks Ian

yup that would be the wrong head on the wrong motor alright. or the wrong pistons in the right motor. haha.

So; I guess I'm just gonna put my 22r head and carb back on!!! Dont want a carb, but a fella's gotta do stuff he don't want to sometimes!!! Just part of being a grownup, eh?
At least until I can save enuff$ to get all the parts I need to put da EFI back on!
Any hints and/or tips for the carb swap??

I have no clue as to what you are working with or the history of what was in the truck to begin with before you removed the old head. Whether it was efi to start off with or it was carbed etc etc.

So I could not help you in that regard.

Got the truck as a basket case! Originally had a 22re. The original block had a hole you could almost put a wd40 can thru!!!! PO had gotten it stuck in a creek and popped the motron!! Oops! The head was off,as well as lotsa other stuff. Bought an 86(supposedly) 4by4 wit a 5 speed an a 22r for parts. Just wanna wheel it! Just got rid of an 86 22r, 5speed 4by4 to fund THIS project!!! The 91 is so clean!!!! Cant wait to get it dirty!
Again, thanks!!! Ian
