Idea more bump travel?

Ive a stock95 4x 4runner. now that Ive gotten the sag out of the back i run out of travel in the front way to soon. Problem is i dont want to raise the ride height.

Looking at my front end it looks like with my 31"s theirs room for more up if i raise the lower bumpstop brackets. I would like to eventually put bump cans on the front so i dont want to hack on it twice. Soooo and heres the reason im shure ill be a BBQ soon.

What about a 1/2 in spacer on the lower BJ for a mild/temporary fix?

Has anyone determind how much extra bump travel before the cv or A arms start to bind?

I'll bring the Charcoal

Thnx

Low profile bump stops or cut down stock bump stops are a popular fix for that if you have not already done so.

I just kind of give it an eye-ball test while sitting on the ground. Post up a pic or 2 of the front end. Another thread similar: https://www.yotatech.com/forums/f116...arance-230569/

yea thats were i got the idea from. with the stock wheels it looke like the BJ will rub with 1/2 in spacer and 1/4 doesnt sound like its worth it. the rear lower a arm mount would be the first thing to hit if i got rid of the stock brackets, might be worth an in from looking at it.
if i have an evening free ill just try 3/8, its scrap peices anyway and it it doesnt mess the alignment up to much hey it only cost me a day and 8 bolts.

still though looks like im gonna have to get 4crawlers spacers and use them for most of the lift and deal with it being a pain to get in the thing. gonna keep the squishy stock stops. i had poly stops on my s-10 harshest thing ive ever drove when it hit the droop stops. never did bottom that out before i lowered it
