As the title says. I am in need of a good farm straightening shop in the Seattle area ish. I have a 89 with a bent frame that was originally going to be a parts truck. But I have since decided to put it back together and hook a buddy up who desperately needs a truck and I don't want him to buy a ranger. Haha. Anyways. It is bent right behind the drivers side front suspension and not very bad. I have to trailer it to where ever I am taking it so I am looking for recommendations so I don't have to drive all over h*ll and back paying each one for an estimate till I decide what one to take it to. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Is it a gentle bed or is it kinked? If its too kinked it will stress the metal too much. Making it weak if it can even be semi straightened.

Have a picture of the bend handy?

 

Heck, a porta-power, some wood blocks, hand-winch and a welder and you're golden. Straighten 'er back out, weld some plate to strengthen, and go. It's a Yota....

 

Thought about it. Probably would if I were keeping it for a wheeler. But I am giving it to a buddy when she good to go. Again. So I want it close to perfect but will be making sure there is plenty of plate reinforcement afterwards.

 

I thought I had a pic handy but can't find it now I will take some tomorrow. I doesn't look too bad. I want to get a professional opinion if and how much $ to fix and salvage the title. Or just build it or part it. It a loaded truck (power mirrors, windows, locks, AC, ADD).
But mostly I am looking too see if anyone can recommend a good frame straightening shop.

Thats a kink. The metal in the surrounding are has been weakened. I believe a frame shop will tell you the same. Proceed with caution.

 

If they can straighten it can't i weld in bracing. ?

 

It will be forever comprimised, but my uncle has a frame machine at his shop. He can get it close i'm sure, but once its like that it will never be the same.

 

I've seen worst fixed...and still going strong today. Let a professional be the judge, not us.

 

So now I guess I just look one up if no one can recommend one in the seattle ish area.
