I know this is a retarded question, but I'm having a lot of trouble removing the center caps from my SR5 alloy rims. I need them off because I'm going to mount them on my '89 4Runner, and they need to fit over the free-wheeling hubs. These are the rims in question, if it helps:

take the wheel off the rig their on. Take a bar around the same diameter of the center cap and put it on the back and give it a lil tap with a hammer and they will come right out.

 

That did the trick, thanks! I feel dumb right now.

 

no need to take the wheel off unless its off already theres a spot in the cap where u take a pry bar and pop them off

 

true I forgot about that, but some times they really get stuck and you can scratch the center cap doing that to or the wheel..
