I need help. I don't know if I am in the right place. But I have a camshaft that has a 3 on it and on the other side of the camshaft it has a square with the letter c on it. Can you please tell me what kind of camshaft it is

Sorry truck newbie, got my 1986 pick up truck from my dad, and he's not a great record keeper. I know that a new engine got put in the truck shortly before I bought it from him. Called my mechanic who said that he is pretty sure my engine, without it in front of him, is a 22RE fuel injected even though the ID plate says 22R. photo below. Thoughts?

 

You have a 22R carbureted engine.

Underneath the large, round air cleaner housing is the carburetor.

Does anyone have any idea or reference material that could fill in my blank - I've done the Google dance but came up empty!
