Was wondering if anyone knows If headers off of an 85 4runner would fit my 83 22r pickup?

 

I'm told no.. 80-84 22Rs are different than the 85 up. There are 2 types of heads (exhaust ports are different)..

I had to order a new header today.

Ahh dude that header is bad ass. I'm running the TriY myself and I love you. You made a wise choice man. Let me know the power difference. I've had mind now since about 2008 I believe and I've only had to repair it once. When I lost my driveshaft at 70 MPH it flew around and it my exhaust breaking the weld on my header were the Y is closest to the block. I just pulled it off and welded it up...

 

I have NO clue about Calif. smog laws... So I'm no help, sorry.

 

Thanks anyways. I was looking into the rock ripper toy headers as well have you ever heard of those? Was really got me mad was they were 49 state legal except calif. lol just my luck [IMG]😩[/IMG]

 

Check with Doug Thorley directly... I ordered mine thru Summit.. There was an issue with one of the welds being to thick and it caused a leak.. I had to grind it down..

When I figured out what was making the header leak (at the cold air pump inlet ports) I called Doug Thorley first.. I was told there are 6 different headers for the 22R /22RE.

I was also told I could not put the engine that is in my truck, in my truck... Its working pretty good tho....LOL
