Head Removal on a 22re engine ???

Head Removal on a 22re engine ???

I need help on removal of my head on my toyota 22re.
Do i need to use a wedge on the tensiner to keep it from moving when i dissamble chain and sprocket from cam ? does the tensior operate off of oil pressure or sprring pressure? and i need the correct torgue specs.on head bolts , including the small one and also the cam shaft sprocket bolt ?

I wouldn't worry too much about the tensioner. I'd worry about the two head bolts between the number 1 & 2 and 3 & 4 exhaust ports. They almost always snap.

if you are not installing a new timing chain, you need to wire the timing chain and the cam gear to gather . it will help keep it in time.
