hard to crank by hand

I need to know if the clutch plate not being torqued all the way will cause the engine to not crank as easy by hand after install?!?!?!:wabbit:

guess not...

rebuilt 22R
-no "lazer" plate
-square intake & round exhaust
-98 link single row timing
-iron rockers
-reused timing cover W/fresh gaskets
-new timing set w/steel guides ENGNBLDR
-original carb manifold w/rebuilt carb

won't crank by hand & wondering how to get oil to the oil pump & bearings before dry starting

Is the truck in gear? was the clutch properly aligned before the install? Did it turn over by hand before droping it it? whats the history on the transmission?

I would think that when it was rebuilt, there would have been liberal amounts of assembly lube put on all friction-creating components. Especially in the oil pump to make it self prime immediately upon first rotation. But that's just me thinking out loud..
