Well looking for a few new mods if anyone has done any of late. Nothing seems to be very current ( read that as new projects ) on the site so Looking at installing the cargo cover from a Gen 3 in to my Gen 2 95 4Runner. Obtained the brackets from a 98 at the local wrecking yard and picked up the cargo cover from a 99 at a garage sale. So far total expense is $5.25. Yeah you read that right! So now comes the interesting part, cutting my back panels to accept the new parts and securing then in place. Just don't know what is behind that poly vinyl panels and if I can install the OEM mounts or if I am going to have to modify the mounts as well as the panels. Located a 1995 vloume 2 shop manual so now will have to try to get the rear panels off. May have to wait till I get back from California trip. Also investigating locations for "new" 12 VDC plug that I took out of that same 98 from the rear mounting position. Thinking of doing a tech write up and will take pics as I go for posting here. Comments suggestions recommendations are welcome!
