Frankenstein-ing Two Trucks?

Okay so me and a friend are going to start a project soon. He currently has:

______________{Solid Front Axle
{ 84 Pickup (1) {5 speed 4wd
______________{Extended cab

______________{Inedepent Front Susp.
{ 84 Pickup (2) {4 speed 2wd
______________{Regular cab

Forgive my incorrect term for the 2nd pickups front suspension, Im drawing a blank here. Anyways, we are wondering if we can swap cab from pickup number 1 onto pickup number two. The first one's chassis has a good bit of the rust and the second doesnt. We didnt know if there was any way to put the Ext cab on a regular cab chassis with the reg cab bed on it. Or even if we could take cab and bed from truck 1 and put it on number two.

Also Ive been reading a little on SAS and we could just swap that right in as well?

Any information would be appreciated. Thanks y'all

cab swaps happen all the time...
get a tape measure..if the 2WD is a short bed/reg cab, you are gonna need to move mounts and bob the front of the bed...

keep doing your research..educate yourself before you twist the 1st wrench...
