Emergency brake light

A few weeks back i towed my trailer and had to park on a hill, so i used my ebrake to be sure the trailer wouldnt try to pull the 4runner backwards. I didnt even have it parked like this for 30 minuates. Ever since then my brake light comes on and off occasionally. Any time i give it full throtle it also comes on. Its not the abs light but the emergency brake light. I have pulled the ebrake lever several times in attepmts to solve this but no luck. Any ideas, could it just be the sensor going bad or is it possible my ebrake may be sticking a bit?

Yup, check your brake fluid, probably just a coincidence that it started after parking with the trailer.

Mine does it because of warped rotors and low brake fluid combined.

Mine did it with a frozen caliper, but it stayed on - the "comes on and off occassionally" is what tells me it's the fluid level.

Mine flickers too, but the level looks like it is almost to the top already! I read on T4R.org that someone took theirs apart and foudn that the bobber was worn out or something. So I just unplugged my sensor :|

I joined this forum simply because the e-brake light in my girls 4-runner comes on intermittentely while driving. I guess I'll check the fluid. What fluid came stock with a 2000 4-runner? Dot 3?
