So I recently bought a flowmaster and a new cat and had a local shop weld up a header back exhaust for me. We routed it above the rear springs so it wouldn't hang low below the rear body. It looks good, sounds and helps flow a bit (though maybe not enough backpressure).

anyways, I've noticed that now with the cold I've got a lot more condensation smoke coming out the back. I've figured that the new exhaust pipes have a lot more of an area to collect water since it arches up to the muffler and to get of over the rear springs.

Has anyone done anything with drilling holes somewhere along their pipes to allow this water out? I'm just worried that it'll all start rusting real bad.

Don't drill holes into your exhaust or muffler.

 

Don`t drill any holes in your exhaust, not only will you create an exhaust leak, but you will be giving the rust a place to start from.
