cylinder 2 not firing!!!

Im a complete newb to the automotive world. Last week i was driving home from a buddys place, and about halfway home, it started to misfire, i barely made it back. One of my buddys works on cars, and he checked for spark, compression, and something else, he lost me when he started talking automotive talk, and yes im that stupid with cars. But he said it wasnt firing on cylinder 2, and it has spark. The gas i dont know about. So the more help the better. Thanks!!!

If that cylinder has spark, then it must not be getting any fuel. Injector problem.

4cyl? If so is it smoking? If not get someone to check the compression? If its good then it might be the injector. Is it leaking fuel around that injector or is the fuel line busted or bent. Injector connector switch?

well... the injectors are fairly new, only a couple miles on them, all the lines are good, no rust, theres no form of gas leaks anywhere, the compression on all cylinders are roughly between, 170 and 180, and as far as ive noticed, there is no kind of smoking involved. and yes it is a 4 cylinder
