clicking under acceleration

clicking under acceleration
Hey everyone,
Just bought an 86 ln61 2l Diesel.
Just fixing some oil leaks up in the oil cooler plate.
Anyways I'm getting a RPM dependant clicking(quite loud and fast) when
I accelerate. The click gets louder the harder I accelerate.
It doesn't click in neutral(moving or at a standstill) even if I give it the boot in neutral.
So its only when the clutch is engaged in a gear and I accelerate hard.
Its definantly RPM related and not speed related.
Any advice is appreciated.

well seems as though you narrowed it down to drive train by stating it's only when the vehicle is in gear but without reference and actually hearing it it is gonna be hard to guess what a sound is from the web. Maybe have some one ride with you in the back or with the windows down to help locate the source of the noise.
