is a bracket lift and suspension lift the same thing? i didnt know if they were the same thing or not cuz some a yall told me to just get a 4inch bracket lift and i have no idea what the hell it is lol

 

Yeah a bracket lift is a type of suspension lift. It just drops your stock suspension down 4 inch or however much you chose using bracket where the stock connection points are. Here is my old bracket lift



You can see where it was cut and disconnected and then dropped using brackets.Mine is really beat up and out of wack though haha. Its still the stock suspension so it doesnt really improve flex or anything. A real suspension lift is like a long arm kit or something, but if your gona get into that sort of money you should just SAS, thats the way i went anyways.

Most suspension retailers will have your run-of-the-mill 4-5" bracket lifts.

 

Well i think my old one was a trailmaster, not 100% sure on that cuz i got it half installed in the truck with no instructions. Cheaper ones to look at would be trailmaster, super lift, tuff country, ready lift. I heard rancho is pretty decently priced but i dont like anything they make. Quality would be skyjacker or procomp i think but thats getting more costly. And if you want something more functionable i think fabtech would be the place to look at. I havnt really looked but that guy on here - waskillywabbit or fustercluck i think and they might have something, he owns a company called wabfab or something. check that out. Just depends, im sure someone else will have some sugestions, It doesn hurt to use the search button too

Bracket lifts are pretty spendy. Depending on how much lift your wanting or how your going to use the truck, ball joint spacers, extra leaves in the rear and a body lift would work too.

 

yea i think im jsut gonna get 2inch adda leafs in teh rear.. 1.5inch bj spacers and crank my t bars so its 2inches in the front then a 1inch body lift.

 

That's the route I would go instead of a bracket lift.

 

hey yall, i ordered my 4 inch bracket pro comp lift from 4wheelparts and they cut me a real good deal. i bought my lift, tires, and brake lines all at the same time. i paid 1460 out the door and got free shippin. the lift was originally gonna be around 700 and i think when i called them they knocked about 200 off of it. they will do anything to gain buisness and keep customers. they offer real good warranties also. definately would check em out. i will go back there next time as well.
