On blocks - harmful or not?

General question here..
If you have a truck or car on blocks for an extended length of time....like months..... can the weight of the hanging tires/rims bitch up suspension bushings, steering linkage etc... ?

Nah, its actually better on it, because the weight of the vehicle is not going to be on those parts...look at it this way, would you rather have 40lbs hanging, or 3000 putting pressure on them!!
