blinker mod screwed me. :(

So i'm having some tube bumpers built for my 4runner soon so I thought i'd get a head start and started drilling and wiring my blinkers into the corner lights with this manual: http://www.lieblweb.com/tacoma/Mecha...n/blinker.html

Well all goes well up until it comes time to cut wires on the running lights and start the electrical work. I HATE ELECTRICAL WORK, I ALWAYS MESS CRAP UP!

.. had to get that out. anyways, my voltage meter i guess was broken and not picking up any voltage so like an idiot, i touched the 2 running light wires together. Now my running lights AND blinkers don't work and i haven't even touched the blinkers yet! Emergency flashers work fine but there's no power to the running lights and when i flip the little lever to signal a turn they don't work.

Any help would be greatly appreciated...

ps. don't tell me to check the blinker fluid. lol

Fuse, should be a 15 or so amp fuse under the hood in your black rectangular fuse box. It should say on the under side of the lid which is for which. If not use your voltage meter and test all of em out and which ever doesn't light up is the blown one

lol scuba. I don't work on my truck while under the influence.

Thanks everyone, i didn't even realize there was a fuse box on the driver side. lol :S I knew there had to be another fuse box but until i was forced to find it, i wasn't worried about it.

Well now you know. When you touch two wires together, a fuse will blow. And you will be "forced" to check that evil fuse box under the dash.

And next time you do electrical work, unplug your battery like you should have done in the first place.

That would be ideal but you can control the power going to your running lights/blinkers by simply not turning them on and i like to test my work while i'm putting it together, that way i know where i go wrong. lol
