Best Mods?!?!?!
Hey guys, I'm curious, which mods get the best bang for buck. Can be anything from appearance to performance or 4x4. Personally, I really dig the Satoshi Mod, what do you guys think? For 3rd Gen Runners

I have been extremely happy with the 9 pounds heavier than stock flywheel that I added at about 90K miles when I replaced the clutch. I have a dual friction Centerforce clutch and the heavier than stock Centerforce flywheel. It makes crawling the 4Runner much much smoother.
Think about when you are in 4 low, 1st gear and crawling along...think about how sensitive the throttle is--very easy to induce a lurch and rock back and forth--you could easily send your passenger into the dash only to slam her back into the seat again. The heavier flywheel eliminates this allowing even full throttle stabs without this effect. Also makes the rig much harder to kill when crawling over obstacles like rocks and logs. You can just let it idle along and not worry as much about momentum as the motor holds more of the momentum force. This has been my single best mod for the money--especially since I was replacing the clutch anyway and would've had to resurface the stock flywheel anyway--add that money saved toward the purchase of the new flywheel and you are almost halfway there.

i have three inch cat back with a flow master 40 series on my taco. i dumped the pipe out right befor the rear wheel. the three inch look with the flowmast sound is pretty kicken. not to mention the location, i dunno how it would look on a runner. might be able to fab something up similar?

just to let you guys know a 3'' exhaust is going to kill your power stick with the factory 2.25'' pipes and add a muffler of ur choice even running a superchager dont like 3'' exhaust they like a 2-1/2'' exhaust best

2.25" is stock for the 3.4L. The S/C loves having the 2.5" pipe, but even running just that extra 1/4" on a stock engine will steal some low end. The 3" pipe is WAY too big for N/A or S/C.

Swaybar disconnects. I made my own for my '92, paired with an EZ Locker it made a night and day difference in my off-roading ability. I need to make some for the '98.
For the '98, I love the grey wire mod, the deckplate, and of course the supercharger (but that don't count cause it cost like $4500 total). For cheap tricks, I want to add some extra/better cargo hold-downs in the back, and maybe while I'm at it some kind of mount for a fire extiguisher (when you need one, you REALLY need one).
EDIT: If you off-road lots, some kind of auto-deflators are a great thing to have. I have the Stauns, and they make things so nice. Now I need some kind of on-board air... hmmm
