bed pushed into cab
maintenace and repair thread wouldnt allow mw t post, but anyways the bed of my truck is pushed into my cab, because i had a quad in the bed of my truck that wasnt tied dow, and when i hit my brakes it went into the cab, and pushed the bed of the truck into the cab, so is there any way that i can push the bed back, so it isnt against the cab without pulling the bed completely off?

theres only 6 bolts holding the bed in, beside that is just the wiring for the tail lights and the gas filler
its not worth trying to work around it, just pull the bed off. its really not hard at all

Not sure why you put a quad in the back of your truck unstrapped... could've gone through your window. but just take it off, examine it and do whats needed. I dont really expect ratchet straps to "straighten" it at all...

Ratchet straps might not be quite strong enough....sounds like you need to buy some anyway to secure the quad
.
make sure you attachment point is good (which might be hard since the bed is bent up against the cab)...maybe put a coat over it incase it comes loose under tension...just like you do on a winch cable under tension.

why at least wasnt the park brake on? or in gear? the ratchet strap, as stated before, isnt going to make it perfect but should pull it away from the cab enough for you. May need a heavy duty one.

Probably just need to loosen the 8 bed bolts and then get someone on the other side of the bed to help lift and slide it back a little. Not that hard to do. Be sure to snug the bolts back down after wards, likely they were loose to begin with and that is what let it slide forward.
