bad frame to engine swap

Lookin for some help here y'all I have a 93 pickup 4cyl and it has a frame that is beyond repair from frame rot. I am going this weekend to look at an 88 pickup that has a blown up 3.0. The owner says frame is not rotted away and I was just wondering what all would be in swapping my engine and trans into this truck; meaning what all will need to swap complete harness I'm sure. Fairly new to Toyotas but I am mechanically inclined. I am a diesel mechanic and do collision repair so that's not an issue just trying to figure out what all would need swapped between these two trucks to make one good truck.

Sorry for the long paeagrauph here just lookin for y'alls input to get me farther along. Thanks in advance

If you buy the 88 to just swap in your current engine and trans you would have to weld new motor mounts and get another crossmember and then wiring. If the 88 looks good enough, sell your 93 and do a 3.4 swap on the 88.

Alright if swaping the engine will be that difficult will any 3vze work let's say if I found a cheap used engine from a 93 or 94 truck or runner would that be a plug and play if I were to swap an engine in that way. Just wondering if there are differences between the years for the engine.

Not sure about the engine differences but personally I would not spend any money on a 3vz. A 3.4 5vz swap is simpler than most people admit.

Well the goal is to keep a truck on the road and actually safe to drive everyday. My eventually plans are SAS and engine swap either a dieael or a 3.4 just lookin for cheap transportation now as long as its a Toyota pickup of course. I can deal with the 3vze for awhile the only time I'll have to do the work would be by taking my vacation from work.
