Backwards battery

So I accidentally hooked up my battery backwards. It was a new battery as well. Checked all the fuses and are all good. Nothing happens except the seat belt indicator comes on when I try to start it. What else could be the problem?

Have you checked the fuses under the hood? There are also fusible links in the wiring harness to protect against things like that. I'm not exactly sure where they are located but the FSM should point them out.

This thread may help. While it's from a jumpstart error in the thread I linked, your issue is similar.
