so i would like anyone opinion willing to share it. im trying to decide what axle combination to put under my 85 pickup.let me know what you think what ever it may be.thanks.

 

need more info like what your intentions for the truck are...
stock toy axles are comparable to D44. throw a set of longfields or dirty 30's upfront and you are go to 40" tires...
Gonna run v8 power on 40+ convert to tons

 

lookin to run 33s and 4 inches of susp. lift. also id like some opinions on gearing.thanks.

 

and no v8 power, unfortunately my bank account is not that big

 

stock axles are fine with 33's, geared with 4.88's if stick, 5.29's if you have an auto or might go with with 35's+ down the road.

if you thick you might run it hard, consider Longfields for the front, they replace the stock birfields. Rear inner axles are pretty strong. You could upgrade to Poly Performance axles...

 

yea youll be just fine with those toyota 8"
