Automatic Hubs

HI i have an 89 sr5 pickup,its an automatic and the front hubs are always locked im guessing? so i was wondering if i could take those off and put manual hubs on?

ok so are they always locked or when i put it in 4x4 it actually locks the hubs?

there just yankin your chain its the easiest mod to do, just find a set of locking manual locking hubs from craigslist or a wrecking yard and swap them over, shouldn't take you more then 20min to swap out. i went from 240 mpg to 280mpg in my truck.

If you are swapping from automatic hubs you need the extra nuts and lock because the automatic hubs only use one nut and part of the hub you remove..

I did the swap so long ago I forget just what is different
