New to Me

Bought a 94 4WD 22RE 5SP stock 99000 miles. I think it has a 4:10 rearend. It does not have a sticker on the door jam. How do i tell what rearend I have? I'd like to put Pro Comps or KM2's 32X10.5/15's on. I live in flat Fla. what is the biggest tire and can put on without having issues of having to regear the rearend? It came with a new set of BFG AT's that I would use for DD,and I would only use the Pro's or KM2's sparingly on the road and for mudding. Thanks K. Will post pics shortly.

Even if you have the 3.73 rear end that truck will turn 33s. i have a stock extended cab with no lift on 33s i had to trim the front skirt but i don't rub. and if im not mistaken there is a website that you can type in your year and model and it will tell you what rear end came in it. if its a 94 i believe it has 4.10s at least mine did.

My 92 turns 31's fine with 4.10 I probably would not go much higher on those gears with a 22re. I also have 95 runner with 4.88's and I'm turning 33's the auto makes her a bit sluggish.

Just got my 94 4WD 22RE 5SP 4:10 the other day.I'm upgrading to KM2's or PC 33's so I'm looking for a 4.88, what yota's am I looking for? Can I only swap out the rear diff for now and still increase mpg's? What is the benefit in swapping the front diff? I have manual hubs, what do I need to do to keep the front end right (oils, lube, spot checks). I would also like to add a rear aussie in the future. I mainly just run in mud where I'm at. This would also be a DD.This is my first 4WD and would like to know what I need to look for to keep my ride running right. Thanks K.

Welcome to YT.

Please start one thread and ask all your questions there...you will get more help that way...instead of starting multiple threads with the same essential questions.

You have to have the front and rear diff the same gear ratio or bad things happen.

There are ENDLESS mods you can do to your Toyota...try the search function, browse the forums, find a truck you like and do what they've done.

don't forget that if you regear the rear, you are gonna need to regear the front diff too.

If you only do the rear be sure to pull the front driveshaft to avoid an expensive mistake..
