Headers and a less restrictive exhaust- if that counts as "bolt on". Difference in night and day.

I've got a header, 2.5" exhaust, 32" cherrybomb glasspack. Between this truck and my 77, the difference is night and day

2.5" exhaust on a 22 series engine? i went with 2.25" and think i would have been better off with 2"

go here http://www.toyotacatalog.net/M1WebGear/ but be forewarned your truck will be faster and your wallet will be lighter thus enhancing the power to weight ratio even more!

Where do you people live? Night and Day?

I have= Downey ceramic coated header, 2.25" exhaust clear to the back, low restriction muffler and cat, high flow cone air filter, and a brand new, bored out motor.

The difference is nothing. It is barely noticeable. The motor is nice, but the rest of that crap was a COMPLETE waste of money.

If you want performance out of these motors, you have to get a new cam, and replacing the valve train wouldn't hurt either. That is my plan.

Better than that, swap in a 3.4.

Let me put it this way. These motors are rated right around 100 hp, depending on how old and how many miles. If you bolt on 5-10, it is still a gutless wonder.

Headers, exhaust, intake, all are a waste of money until you have a blower, and then they are gold.
