Aloha All

Im new here an i was woundering if anyone can help me out.

ok i own a 1984 toy with stock 52 inch chevy leaf springs in front with shackle an a stock 63 inch chevy springs with a 4 inch block with a shackle.

i was woundering if i was to take the block out an put just straight spring if it would be better. an wat size spring should i get.

no idea dude but your ride sounds awesome

Don't see how it could have stock chevy springs-that is to say-stock would be Toyota originals-so it has been customized for chevy leafs I think you mean.

Anyways I bet someone over in your year truck tech will have some kind of advice so I would post over there as well. maybe even in Newbie tech.

Aloha and welcome.
In my opinion you would go with a 4 inch lift Chevy spring unless you want to change your stance, or if the "stock Chevy" springs are sagging you'd add more lift.

ok right now the truck was moded
so i can run chevy leafs springs front leafs
came from a k5 chevy blazer they are the rear leafs
an the rear came off a chevy 1500 ..

i have a 4 inch block in the back.
i want to take the block out an run straight leaf
don't know wat size of springs to buy.

but i like my ride now. don't get me wrong
it has alot of flex. but i was woundering
if it would be better to run just spring an no block.

can someone help me.

You could add more chebby leaves in the packs..

What about custom springs like deaver or alcan ?

I don't like blocks but they do lift without the harsh ride.

How long are your shackles? You could pull out the blocks, keep your 63's and get a little bit longer shackles. I don't know if i'd go 4" longer, but enough so you won't rub.
