Mike AKA m0nst3rd0's Frame-Up Build

Aloha,

First off I'll Post a few pics of my previous builds. I dont know everythign so dont get me wrong. I ask if i dont know and normally search first. I love toyotas and will own them for the rest of my life. I borrowed 1000 from my dad to buy this truck from my uncle my freshman year in highschool in 07 and fully restored/built/custom painted it to what it looked like in 09. I wish i knew about this site back then because id have a ton of pics to show. any way here is a few "poser" shots

had to replace front cross member, frame was tucking on the passenger side 3/4 in pulled it back straight with a hi lift jack. Replaced rad support, fenders, hood, grill, bumper, valance and all stock lights. Also did a 3" body lift and wow does this make everything much easier. all new front end components tie rods, idler, pitman etc. and swapped out the 4.88s with 5.29s. ALso added the 1.5" BJ spacer to relieve torsion stress

Ran it like this for a while until i got stuck wheeling up my favorite spot.( had to get winched out by my girlfriends sister lmfao) Switched to 33s for better fuel mileage and installed a detroit locker in the rear so that wouldnt happen again.

1986 22ret

While in College I bought this from Colorado for 2700, which i know i over paid BIG TIME.

I sought out thee 22ret becaus i never had any experience with it. In fact i never even knew that toyota made this engine for those 2 years! It was a suprise to me so i had to jump on it (which i shouldnt have).

I looked at it during the night so i missed sooo many problems! the guy gave me the bull ˟˟˟˟ story and i believed him! (what a mistake)

On my way up to wyoming the passenger HL went out and i got pulled over and ticketed by CO state police. WOW!!! what luck.

Made it back to wyoming and not even 2 months into owning the truck the turbo blew a gasket. I ordered the rebuild kit from LCE, got it running good and posted it up on CL for a quick sale of 1300.

So after that i picked this one up from Colorado as well.

I made the same mistake with looking at it during the night.

Handed the guy 2700 and he was gone.

Missed so much issues!! It Drove fine and i didnt think there was anything wrong with it besides the CE light was illuminated, he said he took it to a mechanic and they stated it was an o2 sensor that needed to be replaced. Wow. Mistake after mistake.

But u gotta live to learn.

Well thats what i thought.

Its a 95 22re. i bought it with a 4" Stage 1 Procomp lift 3" blocks in rear, 5.29s locked in the front open in rear (for snow driving) LCE headers and a LCE torque cam and internals. Which is why i paid the 2700. I thought it was a good deal, but after taking a better look at it i knew i got ripped off.
