hey havent been on this thread in a bit but thought i would kind of update my plans haha well it looks like all pro is not going to be my choice now. the plan is 3" TG, f150's out back, 5.29's from TG, rear lockright, 35"s, and then armor ans so on... reason im going to do TG is because i have noticed the people having problems with TG's springs and other steering parts is mostly because there running heavy v6's, winch bumpers/winch. i have a light 22re, and i will not have a bumper for a while so i think i should be alright. when i do get a winch and crap i am going to mod my leaf pack if it begins to sag. sound like a decent idea? oyah TG gears, any good? bad? and im leaning towards a true trac LSD for the front along with longs, cuz i dont have money for arb and i dont need 100% traction in the front for where i go.

I have a lockright, just want to make sure that you are ready for a new driving style. http://www.gentryoffroad.com/php/gen...view/lockrite/
I don't know who makes the ring and pinion for trail-gears. I haven't heard anything really bad about them.
Most people say that Yukon makes good gears which is what I would get. For all I know they could come from the same factory.
I think how they are set up makes more difference than who made the gears.

I would recommend against lockrights, They blow... I would either: Weld it up, buy detroits, or if you must be cheap with a locker get an Aussie.

And you shouldnt be dissapointed with the km2s

well aussies maybe. depends on what i can get right? I just say lock right because its a basic auto locker and detroits are too expensive soo meh.

i was thinking km2's because alot of people who wheel and DD seem to love em so i was thinking about some 35"s lol. do they make 37" km2's?

oyah and i guess you kinda talked me into TG again lol i figure with the 3" TG kit, my light 22re, and no winch/bumper fo a bit, that i should be ok

Im pretty sure they make 37s, but i dont think they make em in a 15" rim size... I would have bought a set of 37s, but i didnt want anything bigger than a 15...

lock rite is a clunky mess on the street, I know I have one.
If you really want a auto locker I would try aussie over a lock rite because I have heard that they are a little better.
You could also try to get a elocker they are a lot nicer and only a little more.
A Line Auto Parts Ltd. Can-BC(Burnaby) has a elocker for $495
Import Salvage Parts & Autos USA-TX(Nevada) for $350
This is off of http://car-part.com/

You mean a top shift with a single 4.7 gear set. not 4.7's unless your running more than one set...

I would way rather spent the extra bucks and get a doubler instead of just the 4.7 set and run stock 2.28 cases.
there will be plenty of times where you will wish you had normal low. (2.28)

really? when would i want 2.28? lol. what would be the ideal setup? mine is forward shift chain case so i need a t case anyways so i though why no just get the adapter and another case and do duals as a side project, then install it when its ready. i dont wheel rocks rightnow but i want to get into crawling and mud is fun too, but mostly up in B.C. we have mud and marshy trails. give you an idea of my aplication

oyah and the lockers will come first lol duals is one of my last mods

Having the option of a 2.28 case is nice because there will be plenty of times that you will me going too slow to use hi, and putting it in 4.7 is way too slow. In mud the reduction box will be useless leaving you stuck in high.

The Ideal set up would be a 2.28 case up front and a 4.7 case in the back, rather than just a single 4.7 case or dual stock cases... Also more expensive.

So you have an automatic? You cant just bolt up a set of gear driven cases where you took your chain drive case off. You will have to get an adapter from marlin to be able to use a gear driven case.

That being said, if i were you, and it was my money, i would swap the truck to a manual with dual stock cases and be done. I think you will be plenty impressed with dual stockers.
