well i have a 5spd lol says in my sig btw but thats alright lol, i hear what you saying but if the low was too low and i was left with high then why couldnt i put it in low an my trany in 2nd or 3rd? makes sence to me. when im offorad in trails i usually throw it in low and use 3rd because its close to high then when i need torque i just gear down? works fine. and yeah i would just build the tcase up then swap it in when its ready. 2.28 and 4.7 would be good
how much do you thinki it would cost me if i bought a chain case, adapter and anothe case and the 4.7? i would do it myself with help from you guys and my buddy?

The only reason i thought you had an automatic was because you said you had a chain driven case. What makes you think that? If its a 5 speed, you have a gear driven case.
So you wouldn't need a adapter to bolt up the gear driven case, all you would need is the 4.7 gear set, ($350) the dual adapter ($300) a second case ($75-100) then driveshaft work ($?) and some sort of a cross member ($?)

its got 5. im almost sure its a chain case now that i see a gear case. because on a gear case u can see where the berings would be that hold the gears in the case and on my chain case u only see two spots where gears could be lol if that makes sense.
#127
yep lol i dont know why mine has a chain case but w/e right.
too be honest here, what do you think i should do with my truck? i mean i would love too sas the thing but i cant sit hear all stock for another year as i save for sas, i want to go wheel and have fun but 31"s stock height and open diffs dont get me anywhere and im not that confident to go wheeling around my area because i know im gonna get stuck allot lol. im thinkint some 33"s on ifs with a couple aussies? thats what a few people have recommended, might even go 34" LTB's? i figure with a couple lockers and some tires o and some 4.88's, i can make it were i need to go?

Dont sink a penny into your ifs front end. (including gears, locker, lift)
You can go ahead and lock your rear.
But if i were you after that i would sock away every penny you have until you can afford to do the solid axle. You will end up coming out ahead.

o forsure lol i know 33"s would be too small for sas but i dont like the way my truck looks with the small 31"s my truck sits high for stock and 31"s look like 28"s lol
look this is my truck rightnow

i dont know about you but everyone else i k now says my truck sits high for stock and agree that 31"s are too small, 33"s would fill it out nice and i would be happy with it untill sas. but your right in a way, if i just save for sas and wait it will be better.

thanks dude. your right TG makes the 5" springs that are heavy duty and apperently they are great for trucks with big winch bumpers and v6 trucks, personly im fine with the regular 3" springs because im not running a winch bumper for a bit and i have light 22re so i should be ok, then i will build a custom leaf pack when the TG leafs start to get to flat so i can run a winch bumper and whatnot. only thing is about the 5" springs is that you are going to have like 7" of lift over stock which is freaking big haha they will sag a tad obvs but with that much lift 35"s will look too small. looks too me from you pic there tiger that you have the same truck as me and to be honest i would do a 3 or 4" TG and maybe add a couple leafs to make it the way you want, and you will clear 35"s fine.runnerboy knows alot about sas and TG stuff too if you want to know more

hey thanks my man sounds good yep i dont want to go to big but right now i think i could fit 36x14.50 and i like them alot but we will see depends on power though my lil22 is ok but i want more than i need i was debating on getting some one ton axles and cutting them down but increasing my stance about 2 inches for a lil more stability i seen it done on x trem 4x4 jus got me thinking after watching that jeep flip over OUCH well keep up buddy and hang in there
#135
My avatar pic is 35s, 3" body, and 5" tg springs with a couple inches cut outta the finders. Its freakin tall and tippy. And yes, i have floppped it.
The only reason i haven't lowered it is because im gonna buy a set of 38s.....

hey 904 runner your stance seems wider than normal is it rims or spacers thats the look im gona go for i was told not to widen my stance and stay low cause thats one advantage for a toy is getting in line others are to wide to get into but in ohio there aint much crawling jus old logging trails and big MUD
#139
yeah true there 904 runner yours is beast but i bet if you went back to some 36"s like u used to have, that you could stuff those tires better? but 40"s looks so sick and i but there just awesome. 3" for me and some 35"s maybe 37"s and cut fenders a tad, that should keep me low and stable

Tiger, that pic is with 2.5" bs wheels.
And I have ran all sizes with my runner with that 4" lift.
From 33's to 42"s(42's would not work unless i trimmed quite a bit)
33"s

35"s

36"s

39.5"s

42"s
(yea.. they rubb'd)
