im new in this forum but been in the toyota world for a few years now. Im tryin to do a frame swap. i own a 92 v6 man reg cab with everything in perfect shape but the frame is shot... i have 2 89 p/u available to me, one ext cab with good lookin body v6 blown xfer case. other reg cab, I4 blown motor possible moderate rust. will these frames fit? and what one should i go with? ive searched high and low and cant find any numbers that will help me match up frames. looked from pirate4x4, called dealerships ( they were not helpfull at all) and a few other places. thanks for your guys help in advance.

3rd gen frames are pretty similar within the same wheel base. Different engines will of course have different motor mounts. Can swap cabs between different wheel bases with relocated cab mount brackets.

so all i have to worry bout is the length of the frame really. THANKS for your response. hopefully i can get this all swapped over soon and ill put some pics up of my toy. shes on 34's now, hopefully after a new frame i can move her up on 38's

i found a 88 4runner frame for 50 bucks. guy says its solid. can i work with that? its 3rd gen, just wasnt sure how different the 4runner frame is from the p/u. or can i use a 95 taco frame? i wish i could find a layout of what is compatable with what framewise with these trucks.
