Ok first post ever after 5-6 months of reading forums....
My v6 auto 4runner has a problem I cant find. It does not do it everyday it only does it out of the blue. It feels like the engine dies for a split second ck engine flashes once then its running fine again while driving. Has no codes have replaced cap rotor plugs fuel pump and filter ckd timing. My cars running like a champ except that problem

could be...dun dun dun ...knock sensor :'(..mine did this exact thing a few times then the light was just constantly on and i got absolutely no mpg and no power. But you probably need to check the code first because the knock sensor is quite a job to replace.

 

Loose grounds in engine compartment (3)? Loose ECM mount bolts, loss of ground behind kick panel. Bad ground for ignition switch? Bad or brittle wiring at Coil& Ignitor and/or Distributor? All locations can be found in the FSM, link in my signature.

Well everything I ckd is good. This beats me so I'm giving up ill just drive it like this. I can live with it aslong as it doesn't get worst.

 

Are your battery terminals nice and tight? My rig would do the same thing if I didnt crank those things nice and tight... It can also happen with too much corrosion.

 

Yep battery terminals are tight n clean..
I've had my car for a year its only occurred 5 times, its ok ill keep on driving it as long as it doesn't do it everyday I'm fine
