Did you just get this vehicle??
You don`t say anything about changing the spark plug wires which could cause the issues described. Also look at all the vacuum hoses they can be on wrong or old and brittle.

no check engin light. i put a new air filter in last week no change the plug wires look new they dont look like they have any cracks or breaks hoses look stiff but not cracked im thinkin bout spryin starter fluid on the hoses to see if there are any leeks dose that work on efi my friend had unplugged the egr valve and plugged it off cuz he says it makes a diff in proformance i pluggd it back in no it starts at a lower rpm now

Well unless the egr is stuck open or closed it should not be causing any issues..... try changing the coil you would be surpised that a coil and cause a cyl miss fire. All EGR is for is emissons it has no real performance enhancing feature. You can block it off and it not hurt a thing but if its stuck closed or open it may hurt engine performance. You can try tapping the egr valve with a hammer wit the engine running and see if it stops. I don't think its mass airflow related but try beating on the mass air flow sensor and see if there change. O2 may help but i doubt it. Intake manifold gasket leak?

i had the egr blocked off because my buddie said it helped with the prformace of the motor. i hooked it back up same thing just a litte sooner and the motor has to be warmer now do you think it could be the hose form the air filter to the intake if that has any cracks it it the mass airflow woulnd not sense the extra air and at a higer rpm woulnt it suck more air in? just a thought what you think

so i tapped up the air intake tube tappd on the mass air sensor and egr valve with the back side off a wratchet then drove it it for the10 mins it ran worse that it has been no power sluggish idle hard to take off the after 10 mins i hit the gas and it sluggish ly ehnt up to 3400rpm then whent pop and it was all better so im thinkin ya its fixed so i drove it for another 2 hrs and slowly it started comin back so now im back to square 1

also when i took the air tube off there was some sorta sludge inside the intake manifold not sure whar it was or if thats normal kinda like a blackish color no real distinguishable smell

That happens you need to get some good throttle body cleaner.
You don`t want any leaks in the air intake hose that will mess things up.
If you have not changed the spark plug wires it might not be a bad idea .
